Skin health, explained calmly

About

Who Keeps This Notebook

A small, independent team writing the explanations we wished we had found first.

why we exist

Understanding first, shopping second

Lookoutrazompl began as a literal notebook: evening notes taken while reading dermatology textbooks, review papers and regulatory guidance, trying to make sense of a skincare market that changes its vocabulary every season.

What we found was reassuring. The biology of skin moves slowly. The barrier, sebum and cell turnover behave much as they did twenty years ago, and the ingredients with the best evidence are mostly old, affordable ones. Once you understand those systems, routines tend to shrink.

We are not a shop. We do not sell products, take affiliate commissions or publish sponsored rankings. That keeps us free to say "you probably don't need this."
